In a previous blog post we talked about the amazing nutritional benefits of eating salmon and why we are so obsessed with it. Natalie, one of our ambassadors here at Girls Gone Dotcom, is also loving salmon and today she has decided to share with you all one of her favorite recipes that completely takes cooking salmon to the next level. In this post, Natalie makes a One Pan Dish with Teriyaki Glazed Salmon & Veggies (this dish offers a great source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids). All the ingredients she used for this recipe were ordered using her Walmart Pickup app!

How to make:

ONE PAN DISH- TERIYAKI GLAZED SALMON & VEGGIES

INGREDIENTS:

- 24oz Salmon Filet - 4 cups mixed vegetables of readers choice— I’ll be using broccoli, onion, squash, cherry tomato.

- 1⁄4 Cup soy sauce - 1 Cup water - 1⁄2 tsp ground ginger - 1⁄4 tsp garlic powder - 5 Tbsp packed brown sugar - 11⁄2 Tbsp Honey - 2 Tbsp Cornstarch - 1⁄4 Cup cold water - 2 tsps sesame seeds (optional) - 2-3 Cups cooked rice (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1). Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2). Prep vegetables into bite sized pieces. 3). Make teriyaki sauce by combining the soy sauce, water, ground ginger, garlic powder, brown sugar & honey in a saucepan, and stir to combine. Bring ingredients to a boil over medium high heat. 4). While teriyaki sauce is heating up to a boil, combine the cold water and cornstarch in a small bowl with a whisk. Once the cornstarch is dissolved within the water, add the mixture to the boiling teriyaki sauce and reduce the heat to medium- low. Let simmer for 1 minute, and then remove from heat. Stir in sesame seeds, if desired. 5). Transfer Salmon from packaging to a non-stick baking sheet, and place the diced/bite sized veggies around the salmon. 6). Pour 2/3 of the teriyaki sauce over the salmon, and veggies if desired. 7). Bake uncovered for 15 minutes until Salmon is flaky and vegetables are tender. 8). Once baked, drizzle salmon with remaining sauce. 9). Serve alongside rice, if desired & ENJOY!
